Shilpi has over 20 years of rich experience in the Indian and Gulf Insurance Industry. She has worked in different roles such as Micro Insurance, Underwriting and Operations, Portfolio Strategy Management, Pricing and Product Development and Reinsurance. Her core competencies include Technical acumen, Risk identification & Management across varied industries.
She has a special focus on Liability Lines viz Commercial General Liability, Directors’ & Officers’ Liability, Product Recall, Professional Indemnity, Cyber & Crime Insurance etc. She has handled liability portfolio of clients in the IT / ITES Sector, Telecom, Engineering, Construction, Projects, Auto Components, Contractors, Transport and Logistics, Pharma & Food Industry, Manufacturing firms as well as Banking & Finance. She has previously worked with Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), a Not For Profit Organization handling the Micro Insurance unit & Insurance companies such as ICICI Lombard in Underwriting team, TATA AIG as Casualty & Financial Lines Profit Centre Manager, Royal & Sun Alliance in Oman as Portfolio Leader for Property, Casualty, Life & Medical Portfolio and Royal & Sun Alliance in UAE as Trading Leader managing a team of Techno-Marketing underwriters as well as handling Large & Speciality Liability risks. She holds bachelor’s degree in psychology, Diploma in Computer Science and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London.
